What You Will Need
A black candle and a white candle
Black for what you are transmuting, white for what it will become.
A bowl of water with a pinch of salt
Salt water represents the alchemical 'solve' — dissolution of the old form.
A fireproof dish
For safely burning your written obstacles.
Olive oil mixed with cinnamon
Your transmutation oil — the agent of change between states.
A pen and paper
Two sheets: one for what you are transmuting, one for what you are creating.
A small jar with lid
To collect the ash and remnants — the physical product of your alchemy.
Vinegar
A small amount, representing the sharp catalyst that breaks down the old.
Moon Phase & Timing
True alchemical transmutation happens at the turning point — the dark moon becoming the new moon, when destruction and creation occupy the same breath.
Dark Moon: Begin in the darkness. This is the 'nigredo' — the blackening, the breaking down of what was.
Dark-to-New Transition: The exact night the dark moon turns new is the most powerful moment for this rite.
New Moon: The completion falls here — from the ashes, the new gold emerges.
